Product Launch - Shock Sensor

The simple way to prevent damage to your goods and trucks

Protect your employees, trucks and goods against injury and damage. The Jungheinrich shock sensor enables you determine the response of the truck to collisions and accidents and to prevent further damage. The sensor module is triggered and responds when a preset threshold is exceeded. Simply and inexpensively retrofitted to your Jungheinrich truck, the shock system increases safety, accuracy and profitablity to your company.

Control Pad

Control Pad
The truck is fitted with an electric control pad. The pad is equipped with three buttons X, Y & Z which are used to adjust the shock sensitivity of the truck via a potentiometer. The three axis sensor unit enables shocks to the truck to be monitored from all three dimensions:
The X axis: driving too hard into a pallet, cage or racking
The Y axis: side impact against racking or another truck
The Z axis: driving too fast over a pothole, threshold or up a ramp

Transponder Key

Transponder Key

After the shock sensor has been triggered, the transponder key (fitted with RFID technology), clears the truck resetting it for functional use. When shocks are triggered different responses are possible:
Acoustic Signal (standard)
Flashing Light
Horn
Flashing warning light
Crawl speed (only possible for specific trucks)
All responses can be switched on or off as required depending on the truck equipment

Sensor Module

Sensor Module

The shock sensor starter set comprises of the control pad and transponder and the standard equipment for the truck which includes the sensor module and adaptor plate. A fleet requires at least one complete set, all other trucks in the fleet are equipped with shock sensor as standard.

Adaptor Plate

The Adaptor Plate

The adaptor plate provides the central interface for communication between the sensor module, control pad and transponder. The shock is reset here with the aid of the transponder key. All of the above part operate fully between temperatures of -40 degrees celsius to +60 and are matched to the truck and application to which they are operating in
