Advantages in detail

Client module

The client module enables the warehouse operator as the logistics service provider to manage the goods for different customers (clients). The corresponding stock levels and associated processes are managed with the respective client.

Multiple warehouse module

This module enables several warehouses to be managed by the Jungheinrich WMS. The warehouse is the largest management unit in the Jungheinrich WMS and represents the company location. If there are several company locations, normally one warehouse is defined per location. With the aid of the multiple warehouse functionality, it is possible to clearly manage several locations and carry out warehouse activities across all warehouses or in certain locations as required.

Serial number management

This module enables serial numbers to be managed in the Jungheinrich WMS. The Jungheinrich WMS supplies support and monitoring functions for this.

Batch traceability as per EU 178/2002

The batch traceability function in the Jungheinrich WMS provides mechanisms for supporting and monitoring the proper management of batch numbers. The item master data determines which items are subject to the batch management requirement. The batch number format can be defined for the validity check.
With this module, the Jungheinrich WMS is able to support EU directive 178/2002 which has been in force since 1 January 2005.

Packing module

This module supports the employees when packing the picked goods with the purpose of making them ready for shipping. Profile definitions are used to adapt the packing dialogues to customer-specific requirements so that only the required packing data is recorded. The settings in the profile concern factors such as packing mode, packing time, automatic document printing or feedback to an upstream host system. The packing mode establishes which data should be saved or processed for the packing list. In the process, the number of packages, the packed weight, a stock reference are recorded or a direct transfer of the load handling equipment used for the order picking into a package can occur.

Loading module

This module controls the loading process with the aid of the Jungheinrich WMS. The sequence of loading can be carried out according to a pre-determined route. Profiles can be used to establish which information should be recorded during the loading. In addition, a detailed report records which package was loaded onto which HGV. In order to use this module, packages must have been created previously. As a rule, this requires the packing module. If only complete pallets are being picked, the packing module is not really necessary. In this case, the corresponding load aids can be transferred to packages logically without further physical processes.

Certified SAP interface

The Jungheinrich WMS supplies a certified interface with the SAP systems, via which the corresponding information can be exchanged via IDocs.

Production order module

The production order module can be used in warehouse systems in which production processes take place, creating new items from several stock items. This module can be used to manage bills of materials which can be used for the component resolution by the Jungheinrich WMS.

Material flow computer

The material flow computer module controls various automated systems such as materials handling systems, automatic small parts warehouses, automatic high-bay warehouses, shuttle systems, rack operating equipment and robots.

3D warehouse visualisation

The 3D warehouse visualisation enables a 3D scale representation of the warehouse to be created or processed in the Jungheinrich WMS. This warehouse representation enables the user to take a virtual tour of the warehouse. It is not just warehouse aisles and storage locations that can be represented in this way, but also rack operating equipment, transfer cars, roller conveyors, etc. The warehouse visualisation can also be used for information procurement using the top-down approach. Simply by double clicking on any racking row, the employee accesses the warehouse editor at the corresponding warehouse row, enabling them to view detailed information on these bays and to change it if necessary.
