Statutory Inspections

Jungheinrich are a world leader in manufacturing material handling equipment. We believe in offering our customers a world class product and a backup service second to none. In today's world, understanding and dealing with health and safety legislation is part and parcel of running a successful business. Non-compliance of these laws carries serious risks.

Under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007, all equipment that lifts and lowers a load must be thoroughly inspected by a competent person and a report issued. The examination must be carried out and a report compiled every 12 months (6 months if the equipment is used for lifting persons). For more information on the legislation please see www.hsa.ie.

One of the most common mistakes made by equipment owners is that they confuse examination with maintenance. A thorough inspection is like an NCT for a car. It is a means of certifying that, at the time of testing, all components which have a bearing on safety have been formally inspected and assessed as being in a safe condition.

A thorough examination must be carried out by a competent person within a pre-determined time frequency to ensure the item of plant complies with legislation. If you do not have a thorough examination schedule in place for your plant and equipment you face downtime, loss of reputation, loss of business and possible fines and prosecution.

Our job is to help you fulfil what is required with minimum fuss and maximum efficiency. Jungheinrich are now pleased to offer you a top class thorough inspection service for your equipment. We will ensure that your machinery is inspected and you are provided with a report that complies with legislation therefore allowing you to concentrate on your core business with peace of mind.
