In combination with the Jungheinrich e-frame trailers GTE 312 the EZS 5100 transforms into the perfect tugger train logistics solution as well as our aspirant for the IFOY Award 2016 in the category “Warehouse Truck Lowlifters“. The trailers are flexible and economic, each of them transporting loads of up to 1,200 kg, with optimal directional stability thanks to their centric axles, regardless of the number of lined up trailers.

Increase of towing capacity to ten tons
Compared to its predecessor EZS 570, we were able to raise the towing capacity from 7,000 to 10,000 kg, ensuring a high power reserve, even and especially for ramp rides. Furthermore, the tow tractor is fitted with a new comfort suspension: The fully sprung chassis with shock absorbers and springs on each wheel not only spares the back of the operator, but also the vehicle.
Energy efficient and robust – the GTE 312 trailers
The GTE 312’s electro-hydraulic lift easily and ergonomically raises the trolleys onto the trailer – and due to the Auto Hub feature at a high level of energy efficiency. Each trailer is lifted and lowered individually, so that loads that needn’t be moved during a stop remain in their lifted position. The electric connection of the trailers renders leaks of hydraulic fluid a thing of the past – for safe and clean operations. The energy conversion inside the trailer GTE 312 also ensures high energy utilization. And their robust construction makes them perfect for heavy duty operations.
A tow train solution for highest demands
Safety has always played an important part in Jungheinrich vehicles. Our tugger train solution EZS 5100 + GTE 312 features an automatic parking brake with roll-back prevention: Coming to a standstill, tow tractor as well as trailers are automatically secured, even on slopes. The optional feature “SpeedControl” for ramp drives complements this: The vehicle remains at a constant speed controlled by a foot throttle.
