Confined Space Course

Target Audience
This course is intended for employees entering into a confined space (as defined in the 2001 Confined Space Regulations.) The course is especially intended for members of the emergency response team

Course Objectives
The objective of the confined space course is to: Ensure participants are capable of putting in place safe work practices to ensure a safe place of work when working in confined spaces as it applies to the workplace. They will be capable of following emergency procedures in the event of a confined space incident.

Course Content

• Hazards Associated with working in Confined Spaces.
• Safe Systems of Work
• Permit to Work Systems – an effective means of controlling risk?
• Rescue Procedures and equipment relevant to confined space work.
• Individual responsibility in relation to confined space entry.
• Testing for Toxic and Flammable Gases
• Search & Rescue Procedures, Theory & Practical
