Tail Lift Operator Training Course

Introduction:

This course is designed for Tail lift-truck and materials handling equipment operators with varying degrees of operating experience. They expose the trainee to both theoretical knowledge and practical skills training required to enable the trainee to operate equipment to certification standard.

Aim:

This course will cover all safety aspects while using a tail-lift and enable candidates to carry out their own pre-use safety checks.

Course Objectives:

On completion of the Training Course successful candidates will be able to:

• Demonstrate an ability to handle a variety of loads under various working conditions.
• Carry out pre shift checks on lift truck and materials handling equipment.
• Explain the stability factors which impact on the safe operation of the lift trucks and materials handling equipment.

• Take into consideration the ground surface suitable and are there any slopes or inclines.
• Learn the importance of planning the delivery, taking into consideration pedestrian activity and is it appropriate and the possibility of restricting access for time of delivery.
• Complete and pass a test to indicate their professional competence in operating lift trucks and materials handling equipment to certification standard.

Course Method:

The programme of structured classroom lectures and discussion sessions, employing the use of slides, films, and supervised driving practice, culminating in a theoretical and practical test of competence in operating lift-trucks and materials handling equipment to certification standard.

Training Location:

On or off site.

Course Duration:

This is a half day Course (4hrs)

Instruction and Certification:

All instruction and certification are conducted by accredited instructors who are qualified as such in their respective disciplines. Successful candidates will receive a Jungheinrich certificate after demonstrating their skills and knowledge.
